Light, while relied upon for all appreciation of form - colour, contrast, and depth - should be an anonymous partner to architecture, sacrificing identity for the benefit of its subject.

It is our belief that Lighting Design is neither solely an art form, nor science, but the innovative application of technology to achieve a desired aesthetic; enhancing representation of form, as well as satisfying associated function.  

To overplay lighting as a design tool to the point where it dominates a building is vanity - light is a facilitator, helping to inform, protect & display.  Architecture is permanent, and we believe should be illuminated with sensitivity and subtlety, not projected with the garish colour of the theatre.
